I started my Tropical fruit women more than ten years ago and left them unfished. I have decided to go back and finish them. This series of three paintings was one of the ways I used to deal withmy breast cancer diagnosis and subsequent bilateral mastectomy. These women are intended to relate to women who pass through the same process that there is still beauty and health without breasts. Female breasts are not only for admiration and pleasure, but also nourishment as tropical fruit.
